WHO
ALEX AND THE ECOSYSTEM...
Alex Sabal has lived on tiny but gorgeous Billy Hawke Caye all of his life – but climate change is having a profound impact on his Island which is now steadily sinking. Fish, snorkel, and kayak with him as he guides you through the intricacies of his sublime yet threatened ecosystem.
WHERE
EDUCATION IN EMERALD WATERS...
Magnificent marine ecology and unparalleled Mayan history. You cannot have a more intimate experience with nature and culture than the way we dive into Belize. It is the perfect place to experience and reflect on how Climate Change affects not only biodiversity but centuries of cultural legacy.
Get hands-on at a remote Smithsonian research station out on the atoll. Our superb guides will prepare your students to take ownership of their well-being before they snorkel in clear emerald water and experience what they just learned from renowned scientists. Safety is paramount, especially in water activities, and is embedded in our Expedition Mentality.
WHY
MAYAN PYRAMIDS AND MONKEYS...
A dawn hike to the top of a magnificent Mayan pyramid at the off the beaten path yet resplendent Lamanai ruins reveals a vista for miles. Bask in a rousing symphony of monkey and bird calls that reaches a crescendo as the sun rises. After sunrise, walk back to Indian Church – where our guide Mauricio is Mayor – a place that we have an enduring relationship with and serve in meaningful ways.

New Hampton School had a wonderful experience traveling to Belize with Chill Expeditions. This trip was successful in all phases: planning, logistics, execution, and reflection. The staff at Chill, especially Audrey and Tara, were professional and organized and they tailor made our trip to fit our wants and needs.
