WHO

Meet Cyndi Graham...

Tucked inside a delightful thatched roof cottage is Cyndi Graham, a weaver working a loom over 100 years old, showcasing a stunning array of handwoven scarves, shawls, and hats. The setting out on St. Johns Point in Donegal, the smell of fresh wool, and Cyndi’s fascinating demonstration on the loom makes for a truly unique and awe-inspiring experience.

WHERE

Grainan of Aileach...

While restored in the late 19th century, this impressive stone fort dates back to 1700 B.C. Here we step back in time and explore the intersection of mythology, history and archaeology.

WHY

Our Irish Heritage...

Over thirty million Americans report some sort of Irish heritage. Many are curious about their ancestral homeland, the stunning landscapes, the depth of the culture, and the warm people. Explore Ireland and one of the richest continuously maintained traditions of folklore, myths and history in Europe.

IRELAND: SAMPLE ITINERARY

We customize each experience… options are endless!

DAY 1: Owning your Experience

Welcome to Ireland! Your guides introduce the Story Approach & Expedition Mentality, and our first nightly reflection circle empowers students to be fully engaged in their experience here.

Day 2: Howth Penninsula & Bru Na Boinne

Take a hike on the scenic coastal paths of the Howth Peninsula while viewing wild seabirds, seals, porpoises, dolphins, and maybe even a whale. Then visit Bru na Boinne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that preserves one of the most archaeologically significant prehistoric landscapes in the world. Visit one of the neolithic tombs to learn how their survival through more than 5,000 years reflects the sophistication of their design, and the ingenuity of the Stone Age people who constructed them.

Day 3: North to Belfast & the RMS Titanic

Cross the border into Northern Ireland. Once in Belfast, visit the Titanic Belfast, a museum located in the heart of the city, right beside the historic site of the ship’s construction. We then head out to hike the Gobbins Cliff Path. This path is a one-of a kind experience- walk along the tubular bridge and marvel at the spectacular vistas and abundant wildlife.

Day 4: The Troubles & Crumlin Road Gaol

Take an award-winning black taxi political and mural tour of Belfast. This powerful experience will take us to key sites on both sides of the city. Then visit the notorious HMP Belfast, a former prison situated on the Crumlin Road in North Belfast that evokes memories of severe conflict as we understand Ireland’s complex history in context.

This trip was the most amazing experience for my class and myself. The guides and their knowledge and warmth made the whole experience so much better than I could have ever imagined.
