MEET THE CHILL TEAM OF EDUCATORS

My name is Monica Leal , I am from Puntarenas , a province located on the Pacific side of Costa Rica.

When I was little I always liked nature, but It wasn’t until I graduated from high school that I felt the real call of nature. I studied to be a naturalist tour guide and later on stared working with different companies and different programs of conservation.

In 2008 I started working for Chill Expeditions. I love the opportunity to educate students in a different way -not only talking, but with the example of doing all different jobs like community service or planting trees to help our environment, sharing and interacting with students from different ages, all working together for a better world and making connections that could be the experience of a lifetime.

Two of my passions are birdwatching and photography and when I have the chance I combine this with the groups of students I guide.

My life as a guide started in 1998 and I love what I do , I have taken groups all around the country, to show, talk and learn about everything, our flora and fauna, traditions and culture.

It is the best job I could have.
